Welcome to Troyfire.net, home of the Troy Township Volunteer Fire Department located in Troy Township residing in Geauga County, Ohio. The department was founded in 1981. All active personnel are responsible for adhering to standard operating guidelines and are expected to respect and follow the chain of command.
The department covers approximately 25 square miles and currently staffs 2 personnel, 24 hours per day, seven days a week. All other staff are paid-per-call. Department trainings are held each Wednesday with business meetings scheduled the first Wednesday of each month. Our fire department’s commitment is to help provide a safe atmosphere for the community, prevent accidents, illnesses, and fatalities, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. This is accomplished by developing safe work habits, establishing guidelines, and following operational procedures that help meet these objectives.
In addition to Fire and EMS calls, Troy hosts annual events for the community including a golf outing and a clambake. These events promote unity within the township and provide department fundraising opportunities. Other products and services Troy provides include installing fire detectors, addressing signs for purchasing, issuing burn permits for Troy residents, and CPR and first aid classes for purchasing.
